The company\u2019s SaaS platform collects supplier data and real-time information, and distinguishes critical signals from \u201cnoise\u201d to provide users with detailed status of their suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heiko Schwarz, riskmethods\u2019 CEO and founder, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cAdding our advanced AI and machine-learning SCRM software solution to Sphera\u2019s product portfolio will enable us to further our reach across the globe and help even more customers manage supply chain risk. We are excited to join the Sphera family of leading ESG software, data and consulting solutions.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Sphera works with organizations around the world to help them surface, manage, and mitigate ESG risk in the areas of Environment, Health, Safety &amp; Sustainability, Operational Risk Management and Product Stewardship. The company&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esgtoday.com\/blackstone-integrates-carbon-accounting-solutions-from-sphera-to-help-decarbonize-portfolio\/\">was acquired last year<\/a>&nbsp;by alternative investment manager Blackstone in a deal valuing Sphera at $1.4 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Paul Marushka, Sphera\u2019s President and CEO, the acquisition of riskmethods \u201cbolsters Sphera\u2019s capabilities in offering a Scope 3 emissions monitoring and reporting solution,\u201d adding that the company\u2019s \u201cpresence in Europe and the U.S. reinforces our ability to serve our expanding global customer base.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelly Wannop, Managing Director at Blackstone, added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cBlackstone\u2019s 2021 investment in Sphera reflected our conviction in Sphera\u2019s ESG mission and growth.
