His approach has always been underpinned by a combination of pragmatism, integrity and openness. This is fully aligned with both the mission and values of the Carbon Trust, making Chris the right person to lead the organisation into its next stage of development.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Stark joins the Carbon Trust after more than a decade advising UK governments, including 6 years at the CCC, serving as the UK\u2019s chief climate change adviser, leading independent advice on the UK\u2019s Net Zero target, and the development of multiple pathways to ensure the whole economy could meet this target, and as Director of Energy and Climate Change for the Scottish Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stark will take up the appointment in Spring 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stark said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m delighted to join Carbon Trust.
